A Stellar Night Nintendo Kids’ Lounge

StarPower Ambassadors Play RockBand in the Kids' LoungeStarlight invites you to join us at A Stellar Night 2010 to celebrate our inspiring Starlight families and  very special honorees. A Stellar Night brings the incredible stories of Starlight’s children, families and programs into the spotlight, and honors entertainment industry leaders and humanitarians whose hope and compassion have helped combat the pair, fear and isolation experienced by seriously ill children and their families.

As always, we invite children ages 5 to16 to enjoy the evening’s festivities and learn how Starlight helps seriously ill kids in A Stellar Night’s award-winning Kids’ Lounge!

Young guests will stroll the red carpet at this Hollywood Nights-themed mini-event, and participate in entertaining activities such as face painting, crafts, video games and fun photo ops along with a kid-friendly dinner buffet and special treats throughout the evening.

Starlight’s StarPower Ambassadors — including many young actors and performance artists — will be on hand to help young guests create special gifts and messages for delivery to seriously ill children.

This year, the Kids’ Lounge main stage will also have separate special musical performances by:

  • actor and recording artist Devon Werkheiser
  • recording artist Kristy Frank
  • pop duo Savvy and Mandy

Children’s tickets include a dinner buffet served in the Nintendo Kids’ Lounge. Parents may request a seat for their child(ren) in the ballroom and bring a plate of food from the Nintendo Kids’ Lounge for dinner; however, children who wish to eat an adult meal in the ballroom require the purchase of an adult ticket.

Nintendo Kids’ Lounge guests can move back and forth between the Nintendo Kids’ Lounge and the ballroom, but to ensure safety, whenever they leave the Nintendo Kids’ Lounge they will be accompanied either by the parent or a Starlight volunteer. Security personnel will be stationed at the entrance and all activities will be monitored by Starlight staff and volunteers.  Children will be provided with nametags noting their parents’ names and table number so parents can be easily located during the event, if necessary.
