Encompass has selected Starlight as its national charity partner. The partnership, which includes the U.S. and Canada, is centered on the production of pediatric healthcare apparel and bedding, specifically pediatric gowns and pajamas –- The Starlight Collection -- that are being produced in a variety of age categories and utilizes the designs of Starlight children.
At Great EscapeTM family events and through the Starbright World® online social network, Starlight kids and siblings were invited to create designs for pediatric gowns based on the question: You’ve been in the hospital and know how scary and lonely it can be; what would you like on your gown to cheer you up? Encompass employees are voting for the winning design in each age category, and those designs are being reproduced as Starlight Pediatric Gowns for each age range.
Encompass is making a generous contribution to support the campaign –- a minimum guaranteed donation of $50,000 each year for two years and will be placing three Fun CenterTM mobile entertainment units each year for two years in hospitals that are currently on Starlight’s Fun Center wait list.
