Careers and Internships

Starlight MidAtlantic has been contacted regarding ads being run on online job listing sites that are not sanctioned by Starlight. While job openings are sometimes advertised online, a candidate is never hired without first being interviewed and appropriately screened.  If someone has contacted you about a position at Starlight and you have any questions about the legitimacy of the job opening, please contact info@starlight.org.

An applicant or employee of Starlight would NEVER receive a money order or check with a request to deposit the check into a personal bank account. If you have responded to such an ad or received envelopes with checks or money orders, please contact info@starlight.org so this can be reported to the appropriate authorities.

"The great thing about the Starlight internship is the freedom to work in the field that you feel closest to. The staff really allows us to use the information we have learned in the classroom and put it to good use. My understandings of the nonprofit world have developed more in one summer than I could have ever imagined, " Virginia Tech Intern, Summer 2012.
