Taste of the Stars Gala 2009
We are excited to announce that our 10th Anniversary Taste of the Stars Gala on November 21, 2009 was a big success thanks to you. We earned more than $500,000 from sponsorships, ticket sales, and live and silent auction items. I know that the more than 120 hospitals and 250,000 children we serve each year in VA, MD, DC, PA, DE, and WV will be excited by the news that we can continue to provide the level of programs that entertain, educate, and distract seriously ill children and their families from their fear, pain, and isolation associated with being seriously ill.
I hope that you continue to support Starlight MidAtlantic throughout the year by visiting our donation page. If you would like, you can specify that the money you donate goes toward a Fun CenterTM mobile entertainment unit featuring a Nintendo WiiTM, a Great EscapeTM family activity, professional entertainers, crafts, and other great programs we offer. Just as importantly, we would love you to help with our mission by agreeing to volunteer. We have many opportunities for you to assist in our programs to serve our seriously ill children in the MidAtlantic, and are always developing more.
We are already working on ways to make the 2010 Taste of the Stars Gala even more fun and successful than it was this year. We are also planning a family event for the first time in the late spring which we hope you will all support and attend. Please stay tuned for more information!
