Rodman Ride for Kids
Starlight is gearing up for the Rodman Ride for Kids -- a bike event that raises and matches funds for dozens of youth-focused social service agencies in Massachusetts. This is Starlight’s 8th year as part of the Ride and we have been given a fundraising goal of $20,000.
An exciting event for riders, supporters and sponsors, all event costs are underwritten by the Ride and all donations are matched 10%, so 110% of every donation benefits Starlight children and families! This year the Ride will take place on Saturday, September 25 and will follow a scenic route from Foxboro through southeastern Mass.
The Rodman Ride will raise funds for local programs that brighten the lives of seriously children —here is how you can make a difference through the Rodman Ride:
- Become a Rider - Sign on to ride 25, 50 or 100 miles and raise $1,000 for Starlight Children’s Foundation. Get creative and get your company to sponsor you, ask your friends to support you using Facebook, host a family fundraiser -- the more creative the better! Register to ride and set up your personal fundraising page by clicking here.
- Become a Virtual Rider - No time to race but want to make a difference for Starlight children? Sign up to be a virtual rider! Simply click here to create a fundraising webpage, and instead of choosing a distance select “I am not riding.” As a virtual Rider you can set any fundraising goal.
- Make a Donation - You can either make a general donation in support of Starlight's team, or sponsor an individual participant. Look for the link on the left-hand side at of Starlight's team page.
- Volunteer on Ride Day - If you would like to volunteer on Ride day, September 25, 2010, please email Jonelle Prill-Tate at jonelle.prilltate@starlight.org. Groups and individuals are welcome!
Sponsor the Race - This is the Ride's 20th year and it has grown to include more than 1,200 riders and 500 sponsors who make a difference for dozens of local children’s charities. Manchester Fisher Cats
Purchase your tickets to see the Manchester Fisher Cats take on the Portland Sea Dogs on August 29th at 1:35 pm. By purchasing your tickets using the "Starlight" promotional code, you can brighten the lives of seriously ill children!
The Fisher Cats will make a donation of $3.00 per ticket to Starlight to support our programs for seriously ill children in New Hampshire.
