Starlight to distribute complimentary copies of “Digging Deep” to its network of more than 600 community partners in the US and Puerto Rico

LOS ANGELES – Philanthropist and brain tumor survivor Sheri Sobrato Brisson is partnering with Starlight Children’s Foundation, a global organization that improves the quality of life for children, families and communities, to distribute copies of “Digging Deep: A Journal for Young People Facing Health Challenges” by Rose Offner, MFA, and Sheri Sobrato Brisson, MA, to children and young adults in need of emotional support and an outlet to express their feelings.

Thanks to a generous donation provided by Ms. Sobrato Brisson, Starlight is offering complimentary copies of the award-winning book to its network of more than 600 community partners, including hospitals, specialty clinics and camps, respite houses and hospices in the US and Puerto Rico.

“Starlight focuses on supporting the physical as well as the emotional health of young people, so we are thrilled to be able to offer ‘Digging Deep’ to our network of community partners,” says Jacquie Hart, Global CEO, and Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Starlight community partners may order copies of “Digging Deep” in either English or Spanish as an outlet to explore and express their feelings through visually stunning illustrations and writing prompts.

“Partnering with Starlight Children’s Foundation will allow us to reach far more children. We are grateful to have the support of their network,” explains Ms. Sobrato Brisson.

“Digging Deep: A Journal for Young People Facing Health Challenges” by Rose Offner, MFA, and Sheri Sobrato Brisson, MA, was published by Resonance House on October 15, 2014, and is widely available.
