 World-renowned saxophone player Dave Koz, long-time supporter of Starlight Starbright's endeavors, will be honored on March 23, 2007 during the 2007 A Stellar Night Gala. Koz will be presented with the Jacki Carlish Humanitarian Award and will treat attendees to a live jazz performance with assistance from a special mystery guest performer. Koz has played a role over the years in many Starlight Starbright programs and events. Recently, Koz helped promote Starlight Starbright holiday efforts by asking his fan base to sponsor teddy bears that will deliver hugs to seriously ill children in hospitals. Koz's support also includes sponsorship of one of the first PC Pals placed in a hospital nationwide. Koz and his family donated two PC Pals in memory of their mother Audrey Koz (“Bubbie”) to the children at Shriners Hospital Los Angeles on last Mother’s day weekend.
