StarPower Spokesperson Bailee Madison
"I am so excited to be a part of Starlight!” says 10-year-old Bailee Madison, Starlight’s spokesperson for its StarPower initiative.
The young actress has been a StarPower Ambassador for Starlight for the last couple of years. In addition to Bailee’s inherent charm, sharp intelligence and vibrant personality that made her a natural pick for the role of StarPower Spokesperson, she also really understands the struggles that families with seriously ill children face and what it takes to make a real difference in their lives.“It was two years ago that I first attended a Starlight event,” remembers Bailey. “While listening to Corbin Bleu [Starlight’s national spokesperson] speak that night, I remember turning to my mommy and telling her that I wanted to make a difference. She turned back to me and said, ‘You will’ and our prayers were answered this summer when I filmed 'Letters to God.' I spent time with children and families whose lives have been impacted by illness and realized that the struggle is not only for the child that is sick, but for the entire family. I also saw the power that hope, love and compassion have in helping each child find light and laughter during some of their darkest times, which is exactly what Starlight brings to the lives of families every day. I am so honored and blessed to be a part of Starlight and am so very excited for the opportunity to show that no matter how young we are, we can make a difference."
Often described as an "old soul," Bailee is someone whose unique combination of sensitivity, strength, and emotion is well beyond her years. However, the Florida native still enjoys the simple activities of any young person, especially cooking, riding her bike and playing with her friends.
