Rosewood Crescent Hotel Presents Annual Holiday Tea

Holiday Tea 2010Starlight Texas’ annual was held December 12 at the elegant Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed an array of savories and sweets, live entertainment by Gary Floyd and a cooking competition hosted by event host, Darren McGrady, This year’s event also included a VIP Kids Suite, in which young guests kept busy making crafts, holiday cards and Build-A-Bear teddies for hospitalized children. Santa also stopped by to pose for keepsake photos.

The event raised $20,000 for Starlight Texas, including funding for a family activity in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and a new mobile entertainment unit at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Thanks to a generous match from Nintendo, Starlight is able to double thegift and present the hospital with two units!

This was the fourth year the Rosewood Crescent has helped raise funds for Starlight programs. We are grateful to everyone at the Rosewood Crescent and appreciate the additional support provided by our friends at GolinHarris, the Dallas Securities Traders Association, Michaels Stores, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Vicki Putnam Photography and the Cedar Springs Merchants Association. Thanks also to the host committee for helping to create a magical and memorable event: David and Jamie Baker; Dr. and Mrs. Damien Dauphinee; Becky and Arlen Ewart; Allen Goode and Scott Whittal; Lynn and Allan McBee; Adrian Norbury; Cheryl and Bryan Pope; Elaine Raffel; Kasie Smith; and Christi and Gary Wren.
