Starlight All-Star Alyssa Naeher

National Women's Soccer League player Alyssa Naeher is proud to be an All-Star for Starlight Children’s Foundation. In 2017, the goalkeeper for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and the Chicago Red Stars partnered with Starlight to bring joy and comfort to kids through hospital visits. Alyssa is helping us distribute Starlight Gowns and other Starlight Special Deliveries while engaging in fun activities with hospitalized children.

"Participating in hospital visits with Starlight is really special. Just being able to spend time with the kids and taking part in Starlight Programs, you can see the joy we are bringing to hospitalized kids and their families, and it makes me happy to be a part of that."

Growing up in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Alyssa excelled as an athlete, not only in soccer but also in basketball. While she attended Penn State University, she was the starting goalkeeper for the women's soccer team and shortly after that she joined the National Women's Soccer League.

Thanks to Alyssa's commitment and passion for helping hospitalized kids, children at Shriners Hospitals for Children's Sport Camp and Comer Children's Hospital in Chicago have enjoyed brighter days and bigger smiles while undergoing treatment for serious illnesses or injuries.
