Starlight All-Star Jurrell Casey

NFL athlete Jurrell Casey is proud to be an All-Star for Starlight Children’s Foundation. Since 2017, Jurell has partnered with Starlight to bring joy and comfort to hospitalized kids through the Starlight Gowns program.

"I've seen first-hand how Starlight Gowns transform the hospital experience for hospitalized kids. Their faces just light up when you hand them a soft, comfy and colorful Starlight Gown that's all their own. It's just awesome."

Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Jurrell played football for the USC Trojans at the University of Southern California where he quickly emerged as a star player. In 2011 he was picked up by the Tennessee Titans in the NFL Draft. He's one of the top defensive ends in the league with almost 400 tackles and 39 sacks!

In March 2018, Jurrell visited Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee as part of Starlight's first-ever Design-a-Gown contest. He played games and did arts and crafts with the kids, and gave out dozens of new Starlight Gowns.

Thanks to Jurrell's generosity and passion for helping hospitalized kids, children and families in Nashville are enjoying brighter days and bigger smiles while undergoing treatment for serious illnesses or injuries.
