Imagine being stuck in the hospital for days, weeks or even months. Now imagine yourself transforming into a Star Wars character as you team up with the Rebellion in a battle against the Empire using the magic of virtual reality. This experience will soon be possible thanks to Star Wars: Force for Change, a charitable initiative from Lucasfilm and Disney, that harnesses the power of Star Wars to empower and improve the lives of children around the world. Lucasfilm’s parent organization, The Walt Disney Company, is a longtime supporter and sponsor of Starlight Children’s Foundation programs and events.
Star Wars: Force for Change, Founding Sponsor of Starlight VR, is providing a generous grant to Starlight that will fund the placement of Starlight VR headsets and equipment in hundreds of hospitals across the US. The grant will also support our core programs including Starlight Star Visits and a new line of Star Wars-themed Starlight Brave Gowns with designs featuring some of the most recognizable characters in the galaxy, including R2-D2, Chewbacca and Darth Vader.

We joined millions of Star Wars fans around the world to discover how every page is a journey starting with an event at Children’s Hospital of Orange County on October 5.
Thanks to Star Wars: Force for Change we provided 25 children’s hospitals nationwide with a donation of assorted Star Wars books that they gave to children at their hospital or added to their library.
We encourage readers of all ages, and Star Wars interests to host your very own Star Wars event at home or school or at your local library with this printable party kit, complete with party invitations and activities for kids to adults.
