Starlight Children’s Foundation and Summer Germann Conclude Three-Year Partnership

LOS ANGELES (December 6, 2019) – Starlight Children’s Foundation, an organization that delivers happiness to seriously ill children and their families, and entrepreneur Summer Germann have announced the formal conclusion of their three-year partnership to collaborate on the creation of a new hospital wear program, which was launched as and called "Starlight Brave Gowns," and has now been changed by the Foundation to be named “Starlight Gowns” to hospitalized kids across the US.

Starlight Gowns are inspired by Brave Gowns, which were created by Summer Germann, who lost her younger brother, Mac, to leukemia on November 26, 2002. They aim to bring smiles to hospitalized kids who deserve to wear a gown that’s fun, comfy, and colorful, and truly reflects the heroes they really are. Summer worked with Mac’s transplant team to design the gowns, so that the ease of use and functionality was as close to perfect as it can get for both the patients and hospital staff.

Summer Germann and Starlight each intend to continue to offer child-friendly hospital gowns as “Brave Gowns” and “Starlight Gowns,” respectively.

Since 2016, individual donors and major US corporations have generously funded the delivery of more than 250,000 Starlight Gowns to seriously ill kids at over 350 children’s hospitals and other healthcare facilities in 48 states.
