Starlight Children’s Foundation Named Winner in PR Daily's Nonprofit Communications Awards
Los Angeles, CA, Oct. 14th, 2026, Starlight Children’s Foundation is proud to announce that it has been named a winner in PR Daily's Nonprofit Communications Awards in the Nonprofit Communications Campaign of the Year and Marketing Campaign categories.
PR Daily's Nonprofit Communications Awards recognize the campaigns, teams, partnerships and organizations using communications to inform communities, inspire action, build trust and support important causes. The program honors strategic, creative and mission-driven work across fundraising, advocacy, media relations, crisis communications, corporate and community partnerships, volunteer and member communications, annual and impact reports, video, websites and more.
“I’m proud to see the team’s work recognized,” said Cindee Starkie, vice president of marketing and communications at Starlight. “These awards reflect the creativity and collaboration across the entire Starlight organization, partners and community. Together, we rallied behind the mission and amplified our ability to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families.”
Winners were celebrated during the Nonprofit Communications Awards Luncheon on Sept. 30, 2026, at The Yale Club in New York City, where finalists, colleagues, partners and peers gathered to recognize outstanding nonprofit communications work. Category winners were announced live on stage during the celebration.
"Nonprofit communicators raise the money, rally the volunteers and earn the public trust their missions depend on, often with lean teams and tight budgets," said Brendan Gannon, senior marketing manager of awards programs at Ragan Communications and PR Daily. "This year's winners show how strategy and strong storytelling can move people to act. We congratulate all of the nonprofits, agencies and partners recognized in this year's program."
Starlight's winning entry, Give Happiness 2025, was recognized for its cause-marketing collaborations, outreach to new audiences, and clear strategic purpose that established a replicable model for years to come.
