An Out-of-this-Galaxy Collaboration
Since 2018, Disney, Star Wars, and Starlight have worked together to deliver joy when it’s needed most. From the launch of Star Wars-themed Starlight Hospital Wear to annual Star Wars Starlight Deliveries of toys, books, and games, we are helping deliver happiness to younglings on their medical journey and in recovery.
This May the 4th, we celebrated the power of the Force with some of the biggest Star Wars enthusiasts from costumed fan groups including the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, R2 Builders Club, and the Mandalorian Mercs. At sixteen hospitals and medical facilities nationwide, with ten more events scheduled throughout the month of May, pediatric patients spent the day with some of Star Wars most iconic characters and received special Starlight Deliveries of Star Wars-themed toys, as well as the newest Star Wars-themed Hospital Wear collection.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the longstanding collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, helping us bring smiles to kids in hospitals and healthcare facilities coping with illnesses and treatments,” said Christine Soldner, Sr. director of partnerships at Starlight Children’s Foundation. “When kids can choose which Star Wars-themed Starlight hospital gown they want to wear, it gives them a sense of normalcy and independence. Wearing a Chewbacca or R2-D2 gown also helps create meaningful connections between doctors and patients.”
We are excited to continue delivering moments of joy to hospitalized kids across the galaxy with our friends from Star Wars for many years to come!
