Delivering 50 Percent of Programs to Medically Underserved Communities
In 2020, Starlight made a commitment to change in response to racial injustice and violence. We examined the populations we serve and how we can better distribute our programs to those who need them most.
We are thrilled to announce the next step in this commitment to change - in 2022, 50% of Starlight programs will be delivered to children’s facilities caring for the vulnerable and underserved.
Many of these pediatric patients come from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, live in low-income households, or face barriers to health care access.
