20 Milestones and Incentives Ideas for Charity Streams

Are you streaming for charity to help kids, but not sure what milestones and incentives will help you reach your goals? 

Here are 20 charity stream donation incentives to get you started! 

1. Pie to the Face

You can put whipped cream on a pie pan or buy an actual pie as well. This is a great milestone idea, but be prepared for it to get messy! 

Get creative: For low-cost (and in some cases, no purchases necessary) take a paper plate/bowl and fill with shaving/whipped cream/whatever you have in the kitchen.

2. Stickers, googley eyes and sticky gems

Stick these on your face or arms for every person who donates a certain amount

3. Wear a Costume or Onesie

Thrift or purchase new a themed outfit based on what chaos your community wants to see.

Get creative: Trigger a 10-minute costume challenge where chat submits what you need to dress up as based only on what you can find in your closet, home or office in 10 minutes or less.

4. Write the donor's name on a special sticker or post-it

Write your donors' names digitally so it shows up on your just chatting scene or physically and place it in your space.

5. Make Something with Puppet Hands

Find silly puppets to cover your hands and fingers. Then, try to play your game!

Get creative: Make the puppets yourself with some old socks and a marker.

6. Write a Card to Major Donors

This can be a low-cost idea that makes community members feel special and seen.

7. Cooking Contest

Set up your PC or phone in the kitchen and cook or bake something silly with your friends.

Get creative: Chat can donate to make you add more water or stir batter with your fingers!

8. Giveaway Merch

Starlight streamer Kyburg60 has merchandise she puts on FourthWall and does giveaways from the store. Or you can buy some Starlight merch and send it to your community members’ way.

9. Give Away Something You've Made

No artistic skill necessary! Whether you're a seasoned crafter like CraftySkullCorvus below or just getting started — your chat will love getting a hand-crafted item from you.

Get creative: Worried about postage? Make digital art/drawings and send them to their inboxes!

9. Host a CrowdControl stream

Have your community interact with a game you’re playing in real time! Community members can trigger game effects as you play.

10. Try Bean Boozled, Sour Spray or Something From Your Fridge

Try out a box of Bean Boozled or a spritz of sour spray-- chat loves to clip their favorite streamer's "Oh no, this is gross" face!

Get creative: Pick something at random from your fridge or let chat pick the ingredients.

10. Host a community game day

Get your community involved with your favorite party game like AmongUs, Jackbox or board games you can play on your Discord.

For every x-dollars, you'll do an exercise (squat, run around the house, push-up)

No purchase necessary. Plus, it gets you moving!

10. Unlock a Dance Party

Dress up like your favorite character and toss on Just Dance for a song or two!

You actually don’t need to own the game, you can use Just Dance Now and a mobile device to dance in front of your computer.

Get creative: Don't have Just Dance? Don't fret! You can pull up any audio and host a dance party! Bonus points if you set up a Dance Party scene in your preferred broadcasting software for the occasion.

11. Try to hum a song with a kazoo

A more creative idea. You can let your community vote on the song you’ll play.

12. Karaoke

Host a party in Discord or fill chat with their favorite emotes while you sing or lip-sync their favorite song!

Get creative: Make it personal and do a silly serenade to whomever donated.

Get creative: Have a beard? Glitter it! Have no hair? Draw some on with fun markers!

13. Virtual storefront system

Starlight streamer Kyburg60 participates in a Sees Candy program where you can buy Sees Candy items and then 20% goes to her charity fundraising campaign.

14. Get a Tattoo to Remember Your Hard Work!

Tattoos are permanent and serious consideration should be taken into account before deciding to do this. But, if this is something you’re comfortable with, it can be an effective reach goal.

20. Play a game you dislike

Host a game night with your community and create a list of games to play when someone donates. Starlight streamer Quiltoni had a list of games and half of them were games she disliked, which had higher donation amounts to have her play them.
