What is Stream For Starlight (S4S)?
When you play, kids win.
In 1992, Starlight developed its first Starlight Gaming Station powered by Nintendo, marking the beginnings of Starlight gaming’s positive impact on hospitalized kids. 27 years later in 2019, Stream For Starlight (S4S) launched, uniting gaming and streaming communities to bring Starlight Gaming and other programs to hospitalized kids.
S4S is Starlight’s community of content creators who fundraise to deliver happiness to hospitalized kids through Starlight programs.
The impact of the S4S community grows each year. Since its inception, over 2,000 charity streamers raised an incredible $2.7 million for kids!
In 2024 alone, streamers united to raise $473,000, enabling the delivery of 69 Starlight Gaming Stations to 60 hospitals across the country.
Having Fun While Doing Good
When creators go live on their charity stream, it’s often filled with fun, kooky ideas that create laughter and smiles for their community.
Charity streamers’ interests span gaming, brick-building, crafting and just chatting, among other things. Their creative milestones and incentives inspire their audiences to donate!
In Your Corner, Every Click of the Way
The staff at Starlight go the extra mile to make sure that charity streamers have what they need for a successful stream. Whether that’s talking points, impact videos or tuning into streams when creators go live, Starlight staff is there when creators need them. They are a listening ear and always welcome charity streamers to come to them with questions through the Starlight Discord.

Understanding the reality of streamer burnout and the importance of self-care, the Starlight staff created “Mental Health Mondays” as a safe space for creators.
Hosted by Stream For Starlight Ambassadors on StarlightUS’ Twitch channel, the S4S community is invited to chill with music, relax with yoga and meditation, unwind with arts and crafts, tune into talks from community members and join discussions about mental health.
