Kyrell’s Update: Reaching the Stars, 8 Years On

Kyrell has plenty to celebrate: graduating from high school, playing for the school volleyball team and planning to go to college. 

It’s also been eight years since he was declared cancer free.  

How Your Donations Helped Kyrell in the Hospital

At age 10, Kyrell was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

He faced treatments and hospital stays with strength, and Starlight Gaming and Hospital Gowns helped make a difference.

Playing video games with his brothers made the hospital feel more like home, and his Starlight gowns added to that comfort.

Looking back, Kyrell’s mom, Lovely, remembers fondly the impact Starlight had on Kyrell.

“Starlight Gaming and the ability to connect to the outside world were his favorite things. Kyrell was admitted to the hospital on several occasions, so the program truly made a difference in his journey. To see him continue to smile, laugh, and just enjoy playing video games with his friends and family was worth more than all the riches in the world to us.” - Lovely

Kyrell finished his treatments in 2021 and has been in remission ever since. He’s become a hardworking, well-rounded young man who is kind, generous, and happy.

A Support that Lasts

Your kindness through Starlight impacts kids and families long after they leave the hospital.

Now, as Kyrell heads off to college, he’s thinking about pursuing a major in Information Technology and AI, inspired by a love for technology he discovered using Starlight Gaming.
