Starlight Children’s Foundation is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Mighty, a story-based health community focused on improving the lives of people facing disease, disorder, mental illness and disability. The Mighty publishes real stories by real people facing real challenges, and has more than 5 million unique readers per month.
We’re excited to raise awareness for the work we do and provide access to Starlight resources and stories of how we bring laughter, fun and joy to sick kids with The Mighty’s wide-reaching audience. Each year in the US, more than 30 million children suffer from a chronic, critical or terminal illness. Many of these kids experience long hospital stays, painful medical treatments and sometimes a scary and uncertain future. Battling a disease or recovering from an injury can be an isolating experience for both the child as well as the whole family — but it doesn’t have to be.
Through our partnership with The Mighty, Starlight kids and families will find a supportive community that allows you to share stories and connect with others going through similar health-related challenges. Visit our home page on The Mighty and look for links to Starlight resources that will appear on stories throughout the site allowing us to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

If you would like to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children, you can donate today. Your gift combined with the gift of others helps turn pain, fear and stress into laughter, fun and joy – because a sick kid is still a kid at heart.
