COVID-19 and Seriously Ill Kids: An Update on Starlight Kid Finn
Earlier this year, we introduced you to Finn – a curious, outgoing five-year-old, born with congenital heart disease, who loves Starlight Gowns. Now-- amid the coronavirus pandemic—Finn is waiting for an MRI that’s been delayed.

Last year, while his family was shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, Finn collapsed and had a stroke. He was rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where an initial MRI showed he had a subdural bleed in his brain.
Finn was scheduled for a second MRI in March to determine the exact location of the bleed.
COVID-19 has put it on hold.
Now— amid the coronavirus pandemic— Finn is waiting for an MRI to determine the exact location of his bleed, something that was initially scheduled for March. The uncertainty around his test date and new hospital protocols are adding additional stress to an already stressful hospital experience.
Through Starlight's Critical Needs Fund, we can deliver comfort, joy, and much-needed entertainment during these uncertain times.
